Need TA update instructions for Window's Admin

Our Window's admin will update TA Studio overnight. They are not familiar with TA.
Are there install instructions I can review with them?
Is it necessary to shut down the services first? Will the services restart automatically?
Is there some way for them to verify the installation was successful? If they need to log into Studio and check the logs I will need to review that with them.

        Hi Eric,

The updating process is completely handled by the ThinkAutomation Studio when the machine in question has full internet access. The Studio's update process takes care of checking for the latest release, providing you with Release Notes to verify, stopping the services, gathering the update files, running the update and restarting the services all within the product itself. You would need to run the Studio with elevated permissions should the environment require it due to the interactions with the Windows Services and the installing of the application.

        Public Internet accessible

If the machine in question has full internet access these are the steps you would follow:

        1. Run the ThinkAutomation Studio as an Administrator
        2. Go to File
        3. Click on Check for Updates
        4. Review the summary page which will inform you of whether an update is available or not
        5. Follow the wizard
        6. The services will be stopped and started as part of the process and the latest update gathered and installed
        7. Open the ThinkAutomation Studio and review the Service Logs to ensure the product is running as expected

        No Internet access

If the machine is within a locked down environment with no public Internet access then you will need to use the following steps:

        1. Go to our ThinkAutomation Download Centre
        2. Gather the latest installation
        3. Place this file onto the ThinkAutomation Server
        4. Run the Installation Media and follow the steps
        5. Open the ThinkAutomation Studio and review the Service Logs to ensure the product is running as expected
